FOOD HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
The vision of MEGAFROST LOGISTICS SA, which operates within the food trade and distribution sector, is to identify our brand name with that of a company whose primary goal is to protect the health of the consumer. The company, as part of the effort mentioned above, abides by a strict policy regarding the safety and hygiene of all traded products. Strict hygiene rules are being upheld at every stage (reception, storage and distribution) in order to eliminate any potential risks.
In order for MEGAFROST LOGISTICS SA to be identified with that of a stable and high quality provision of products, while simultaneously ensuring profitability in an ever-changing competitive environment, it has therefore established, implemented and maintains an up-to-date food safety policy, which consists of the following principles:
- Immaculate behavior towards both our associates and executives as well as immediate response to customer requests.
- Continuous improvement of both our services and our company's internal processes.
- Commitment to the continuous upholding of all internal procedures of our company as recorded in the Food Safety Management System according to the ISO 22000:2018 standard
- Maintaining communication channels with both our suppliers and customers
- Dedicated commitment to adhering the Legislation & the observance of the rules of hygiene & food safety
The above mentioned principles are achieved through:
- the tracing of corresponding indicators and by establishing increasingly higher goals regarding the safety of traded products
- taking corrective actions as needed, therefore treating customer complaints, inexpediencies and any of our company's shortcoming as opportunities for improvement.
- the provision of training and the systematic dissemination of information to all employees
- holding regular meetings within our company with the aim of exchanging information and experiences
- the daily monitoring of all critical processes and operating systems
- the strict adherence to all established procedures and work instructions
- monitoring the effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System and securing the necessary resources in order to maintain and update the System as necessary
What is more, as part of the continuous improvement effort, the company recognizes threats and opportunities, evaluates them and sets goals to minimize threats and maximize opportunities, while at the same time recognizing internal and external factors, as well as the parties involved and their points of interest, therefore setting the operating framework of the business.
